Course Summary
Floating LNG is an online course about Floating Liquefaction to LNG, the liquefaction of natural gas on an offshore structure.
FLNG units are a combination of offshore oil/gas production practices, onshore LNG and ship technologies. The resulting FLNG is among the most technologically advanced pieces of infrastructure available. Each of the main parts of a FLNG from the mooring on the sea floor through the hull and topsides to storage and offloading will be overviewed in the course lessons.
Floating LNG has many claimed advantages particularly of lower costs, consistent quality and its ability to monetize stranded gas fields. The course will explore these issues.
